Giving is a vital part of the Church’s mission and in addition to supporting the general work and running of the Church, we aim to provide long-term support for a range of charities.
Christian Aid Week
The parish supports Christian Aid during the annual Christian Aid week by door-to-door collection in the village.
Charities selected by PCC to receive annual support
The PCC provides annual, long-term support to four individual charities:
- Durham DASH (Durham Action Single Housing);
- the Children’s Society;
- USPG (United Society Partners in the Gospel); and
- the Durham-Lesotho Link.
Annual donation to one disaster appeal
The amount donated is equal to the donations we make to each of the above charities. Setting aside this sum enables the PCC to respond quickly to an appeal for humanitarian support.
